I've been thinking that I'm not perfect enough for you
And we never seem to be enough for ourselves
Even when I seem to be able to believe
You faulter me through your stained ice
And, burning, I can see right through you
To who you really were

But now I've changed that
Because who you were is not who I am

I cut myself apart long ago
With pieces sharp enough to reflect anew
Sharp enough to reflect your face as it wept tears into my mouth
And how sweet those salt spheres tasted
If I could only taste you again
