Modern Times Come Talk Me Down.
November 28, 2007 //_ 10:46 PM

a minute is usually 60 seconds.
i say usually because i believe that when we're not aware of the time, time doesn't exist. so a minute could be "sixty seconds" or "two hours" or "twenty one seconds" .. it all matters when you look at the clock and when you decide to end it. sometimes i wonder when i turn my head away from my clock, that if i were to believe it were a different time ( and i mean truly believe it were a different time ) would it still have the "correct" time or would it be different?

are we all programmed to project the same time? if so, how is it different all across the world? why does time relate to sunlight? if time is universal, wouldn't it always be the same time?

wouldn't my second be the same as your second? wouldn't the same hour in which i decided to kill someone be the same hour in which you gave birth to someone?

is it because of where i am that proves you're either in the future or the past? am i sincerely in the present? what makes me the now? what if you're the now and i'm the past? what if i'm the future? even if you're a day away - isn't the time still the same?

or are we all just spinning endlessly and blindfully into the future. infinitely guided by our mistakes and trying to place times and spaces with the faces of people we'd all just rather forget. are we just dangling in mid-air suspended by a string for everyones amusement?

i hope this is entertaining. i'm sure they're laughing, wilting, spitting at eachother.
and i'm just a skin bag willfully suspended by my carefully misleading strings, spinning wildly asking you, "do you have the time?"

no? damn. i know i'll be late for work.
